Josie
Maran is on her way to supermodeldom. She's nailed down the major
magazine covers, an SI swimsuit spread, a famous boyfriend (one
David Blaine), a music video (for the Backstreet Boys), and she
just made the acting switch over.
Josie
was raised in Menlo Park, California. She attended an all-girls
school, but her mind turned to stardom early on. She was encouraged
at a local barbecue to enter a fashion show at 12 years old, and
was quickly snatched up by Elite Model Management. She started accepting
campaigns when they fit into her school schedule, and managed to
balance the stress and pressure of a career while maintaining her
GPA.
After
graduation, she took off to LA. It took no time for her to jump
into the Hollywood scene and grab her way up the Totem Pole of Fame.
She modeled for American Eagle and won a coveted spot as a Guess?
girl.
Within
just two years, she would be seen nationwide welcoming boyfriend
David Blaine out of the ice (he had stayed inside ice for three
days). The same year she managed to crack the pages of Sports Illustrated
illustrious swimsuit issue. She has appeared in a number of commercials,
namely Clairol Herbal Essences and Neutrogena.
She currently
lives in Manhattan with boyfriend David Blaine.
